Multi-Planar Reconstruction

A single CT or MRI scan is really a stack of 2D slices. Multi-planar reconstruction lets a radiologist or an annotation tool view that stack from any angle (coronal, sagittal, or axial) instead of being locked into whichever plane the scan was originally captured in. A finding that's ambiguous from one angle is often obvious from another, which is why this matters as much for annotation accuracy as it does for diagnosis.
